Global Citizenship – The understanding that we are all part of the world and everyone has the ability and responsibility to make the world a better place.
A global citizen is a person who has the following characteristics:
• Tolerance – the respect, acceptance and correct understanding of a multicultural world.
• Patriotism – the aspiration to preserve the culture of their own country in terms of globalization;
• Education – to remain updated in the field of global events, understand the causes and review information critically.
• Social activity – to take an active part in improving standards of living and the environment;
• Transparency – an open and fair attitude towards others and respect for their rights;
• Responsibility – to be responsible for, and understand the impact of your actions on the global society;
• Sociability – the ability to establish friendships and business relationships at local and global levels.
This definition has been developed in collaboration with students, parents and teachers of the school and approved at the 3rd pedagogical council meeting on 05.01.2016
