Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Ust-Kamenogorsk celebrates its 10th anniversary graduation!
This year, 99 graduates graduated from the school. The peculiarity of this graduates is that this is the only stream that has been studying at NIS in Ust-Kamenogorsk for the whole 12 year period from grade 1.
8 graduates had applied for “Altyn Belgy”, 10 for “Certificate with honors”, and according to the results of the external summative assessment, all of them confirmed the level of knowledge.
Dilnaz Seyilkhanova is the owner of a patent for two inventions in the field of biology and physics, the winner of international and republican competitions of scientific projects, the result of the international IELTS exam is 8.0, the holder of a grant from the KAIST Institute in Korea, included in the QS ranking of the world’s leading universities.
Zhanibek Shapatov is the winner of the Presidential Olympiad in subjects of the natural and mathematical group, received 4 invitations for a full grant to Kazakh universities – Karaganda University named after E. A. Buketov, South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov, S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University and Atyrau University of Oil and Gas named after Safi Utebayeva.
Miras Kanatov is the winner of the gold medal of the Republican Olympiad in English, the holder of the copyright certificate, the holder of a grant from the University of Technology and Economics in Budapest and Drexel University in the USA. Miras’ result in the international exams stand out: 1550 in SAT reasoning and 8.5 in IELTS.
Anel Adalbek, winner of the TECHGIRLS program, the holder of a patent and copyright certificate, has won educational grants from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, New York University, and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, Luiss University in Italy and Illinois Institute of Technology in the USA.
Another distinctive feature of this cohort is that for the first time, there were badges to graduates presented from the NIS Alumni community. This responsible mission was carried out by the 2018 NIS and Munich Business School in Germany graduate Elaman Moldakhanov.
The mother of the graduate, Zhanar Seilkhanova, expressed her deep gratitude to the teaching staff of the school in her speech. All three children of the Seilkhanovs graduated from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk with “Altyn Belgi”.
The event continued with a beautiful song performed by the parents of the graduates. Words of gratitude to the school administration, teachers, curators, which sounded in every line of the song, kindled the hearts of the audience.
The final word was given to the first teacher of this year’s graduates, Russian language teacher Tatyana Valeriyevna Argunova. After all, it was she who witnessed the first timid steps of the children who opened the door to the first intellectual school in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, and she witnessed these steps having become more confident and led to great success. Parting words of the first teacher gave the graduates even greater confidence in their abilities.
The school is always proud of every graduate! We can say with great confidence that our graduates will definitely contribute to the development of New Kazakhstan!
