A boarding section was opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk

Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Ust-Kamenogorsk has opened a boarding section. There are 120 places available  for children from remote areas. Each room can accomodate four people.

Learners are provided with home-like living conditions. There is a reading room, a leisure hall, a cinema hall, a kitchen, and a laundry room. Medical room is equipped with modern facilities. Modern telecommunication network, wi-fi network, computers for recreation rooms are in place.

Boarding section has organized clubs like “Murager”, “Zhas Fotograf”, “Parasat”, “Аrts and crafts”, and “Human and Chemistry”. The project “Help to the society” was established to help children from “Umit” orphanage to prepare to win educational grants of “Orken”.

The boarding section of the school is a wonderful environment for self-education, developing independence, communication with others, and improving academic and creative abilities. In addition, they learn to respect their peers and adults, self-discipline and self-esteem. Most importantly, the dormitory is a complex and intriguing environment in which a sense of unselfish feelings from childhood to adolescence begins.

Psychological trainings were organized for the tutors

On September 22, 2017 psychological trainings were held for the tutors of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the relationship among the tutors overcome negative emotions, to help develop self-awareness, respect and self-reliance.

During the training tutors learnt activities like “Advertisement”, “I wish you…”, “Train” and “It’s just …”. Each training provided the tutors with a great sense of control and a sense of excitement. For example, the “Advertisement” activity helped the tutors to get closer familiarized with each other in a fun way. The activity “I wish you …” helped everyone to develop their imagination and tuned for a positive future and success. The activity called “Train” united the tutors and showed them how it is important to maintain synergy.  The activity “It is just …” increased everyone’s self-esteem and self-confidence. Tutors participated in the training with a great interest and retained a positive atmosphere.
